Well I like my rivers and this year’s trip just reinforced that. 43Km may be much shorter then we do on a river but with rain, hail, snow, whitecaps and a ton of head wind, I want my river again. I’ll get pictures up soon, for now, I’m going to go get some rest.
Well we are off, and there is a ton of us this year. Something nice and simple so it should be relaxing and no more class III rapids!
Assuming we don’t kill each other over the weekend I’ll be back with lots of photos and stories.
Canoe trip is just over a week away. Big group this year! I told everyone if you have never gone camping/canoeing before this is the year to do it as we are off to Quetico. So no white water this year, just lots of relaxation and fun. So I should have lots of photos up soon. Summer looks to be a hot one!
Well seems that April was going to be a warm, dry spring, then we get dumped on eh? Did the whirlwind trip down south, stopped in at Toronto and visited places like the ROM. My pictures are up on Flick, will get them here shortly.
The canoe trip this year is through Quetico as there is very little water going down the rivers. If you are interested, let me know as we are going May 18-21, 2007
Oh ya, finished Company of Heroes on the weekend, good game, short single player mission, but good RTS. Looking at a new laptop too, want something with a good 17″ widescreen, nVidia Go 7900 or so. Dell and Gateway seem to be the only ones that satisfy what I want, we’ll see…
Yes out with the old, in with the new. I changed my photo area to a management system, Coppermine to be exact. Allows me to easily add photos and comment on them. Also allows users to rate and comment on them if they want. I’ll get all the comments from the old system I put in, put into the new Coppermine here. For now, the link is up and working, yell if it is broken.
Well after talking to Tonya, I realized my pictures area needed an overhaul. I’m using the same system I did years ago, about 10 give or take. So I’m switching to Coppermine to do it all, even though I still have my Flickr account. It’s here, but no link yet as I move the pictures over, they should be up aound soon.
Other then that, Dad is out of the hospital and should be home in a couple weeks. Easter is coming so going home to see him and also pick up my canoe! We are heading to Quetico this year, no white water, no water at all really, so we’re going lake hopping and do some camping, should be fun, let me know if you are interested.
Also picked up Company of Heroes, good game so far.
I am back from Toronto and home in Thunder Bay, the IPAC/TOPS Symposium I was at was actually pretty good. Learned alot and met new friends, and put faces to those I have already been speaking to. As well, got to see dad after his operation and for the most part he is doing OK, but it can be touch and go there. No movies coming up, but I am interested in seeing 300, anyone else?
I’m off to Toronto today for the TOPS (Tomorrow’s OPS) Symposium. It is also cohosted by IPAC, so both Canadian and Ontario governments will be there, should be interesting. As well, Dad had his surgery yesterday so for those asking he is doing fine from what I understand and I’ll visit with him while I am down there, guess the whole family will be down there too! Be back soon.
Lots, lots and more lots! My birthday passed on the 28th, I share it with Hillary Duff, Mira Sorvino, Naomi Watts, Gwenyth Paltrow, Janeane Garafalo and Bridget Bardot, to name a few. As well, a ton of new pics.
Survivor Pool and Amazing Race Pools are up and running, if you want in either, please contact me soon, as of today, you have 1 day left to get in the Survivor pool, and we only need one more person for the Amazing Race
